Skylar's 1st Halloween Costume

Last weekend we went to the Autumn Harvest that our friend Shyan put together for my mommy group. All the kiddos got to wear their costumes for Halloween which was super cute! Check out some pics of our fun family day and Sky's first halloween costume! She's a pretty little butterfly, if you can't tell.

Thank you for visiting Mom and Sam!

Last week, my mom and sister Sam came to visit. I am so grateful for them taking that yucky drive just to come and spend 3 days with us! I just wanted to say thank you to them and all of the other family that bought gifts for Skylar! I love you and am so blessed to have you in my life. Mom, your generosity completely overwhelms me at times, and you mean so very much to us even though you are far away. I love you, I think about you all everyday, and hope one day we will live closer. Unfortunately, something was up with my camera while mom and sam were here so the only thing I could find was the old lady midget pics...

Daddy's Girl

Chris and Skylar have been spending quite some time together lately and I can see that she is definitely becoming a "Daddy's girl". She smiles and laughs while jumping up and down when he walks in from work, its too darn cute! Since I have school 2 nights a week, Chris has been feeding, bathing, and putting Sky down to bed those nights and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. The love between them is so beautiful, I get emotional even thinking about it cause he is such an amazing father. I love him so very much.

Our growing girl...

I know its been a while since my last blog and I'm sorry to you all that wanna see some new pics of the princess! Well today we had a great Dr's appointment with Dr. Mack- the best pediatrician ever! Seriously, he is the sweetest, gentlest Dr ever! Skylar growth is on a nice curve and she weighed in at 21.9 lbs and is 29 inches long. She is really lengthening out and starting to look more and more like a toddler everyday! I can't believe how she is changing into this little curious and very active little girl! Where'd my itty bitty baby go already! She got her first flu shot today and another HIB vaccine, and took them both like a pro with just a few tears.

She's cruising all over the house holding onto things and she even started walking along the walls yesterday. We've noticed she's a pretty brave little girl, always wanting to try something new. She says, or should I say yells, ma, mom, mama, whenever I leave the room, which I love! She also says daddy and dada constantly when Chris is at work. Her new things are teetee and Jayjay. Teetee is what she calls aunt Samantha since mom and Sam came to visit. And Jayjay is jaime's name. She is actually recognizing these things and saying it which is so amazing to me! I love watching all of this awesome development right before my eyes. I am so blessed. I also just printed pictures out of family members so I can teach her who they are by the time we come to visit in December. This is mainly why she has caught on to the teetee word so fastI think- its the easiest to say and she actually recognizes Aunt Sam in the picture.

Her top two teeth finally broke through and I think there's actually 2 more coming in on each side of them. She's been taking the pain pretty well, but she is definitely a crank pot at times!

Last night Skylar decided to show off her pulling up skills! She crawled over to the dining room chair and pulled herself right up! She was so proud of herself, as you can see! She also just started whipping all over the house in her walker! I haven't figured out the video posting yet, but I promise I will soon because you all have to see this! She is developing so fast this week, with all the new tricks she's doing!

This is for all of our family and friends!

Today I created this blog spot for all of our loved ones! Its so hard to keep in touch sometimes and business seemsto overwhelm our lives at times, and this will be a great way for family and friends to be a part of Skylar's life everyday! I will try my best to blog as much as I can about the new discoveries Sky is making everyday! We love you and miss you all so much! Here are a few pics of her newest trick- CRAWLING!!! She started a few days ago of actually crawling everywhere. No more just rocking in place!
